A modern relaxed room that takes control of light, temperature and ambience with the addition of shutters.

The dining room was created for a casual yet trendy feel. The commercial lighting purposely done on an angle creates interest and reflects lovely patterns in the room. The feature wall ( was done in stone effects to create warmth and depth to a long room. Leather chairs were chosen for comfort and high usage, to compliment this table. Designer sculptures were used to break up a long wall. Manipulating wall paint colours ensures that base walls compliment all feature walls throughout the home.
Modern furniture was sourced from wholesale distributors to enhance the existing flooring of the home. Plantation shutters were added to add simplicity and environmental control to the room.
A blend of modern and classic antiques came together beautifully by creating neutral bases such as marble tile floor and soft wall colours.
A compact area was made to accommodate a modern and elegant kitchen. Clever use of lighting played a significant role to enhance this kitchen. The dominant colour was repeated with the glass splash back only broken by the lighter marble island. The result was a functional, free flowing kitchen utilising the limited space to its maximum capacity.
This kitchen was designed to harmonise the cosy holiday retreat. Again a mix of classic and modern blend well together with the use of an interesting older chandelier above a hard slab of black granite. The granite playing a visual role with the stone fire place in the atrium. The beams were painted out to attract attention to the wonderful stonework.

The dated existing bathroom needed a makeover resulting in a timeless inviting bathroom. The old curtain and rod concept was removed, and an open plan format took over allowing natural light to enter the room and the back wall became a feature with the addition of a wall candle holder which looks sensational at night.

This design arose from the unusual request of separate his and her amenities, light enhanced, and an easy to keep clean ensuite.

The use of simple straight lines create order, balance and unity for the separate areas. Two showers mimic each other at opposing corners. The toilets ( not seen)face each shower with the two hand basins, each with their own mirrors bringing the whole story together.

An unusual concept, but one that many couples may delight in.

The tiny area provided proved challenging yet the bathroom is a big hit! As well the need to be modern yet compliment the 60 year old home, was a consideration.

A very large shower, was requested and safety measures to accommodate for an 80 year old lady.

The same tumble marble tiles were used as were in the kitchen creating a sense of flow in the home. The tiles are also non slip for safety. A double shower was created that takes up the whole wall area, with easy entry/ exit for frail person.

Vanity unit was hand made to fit in non standard size area, and edges were rounded for safety. Spa bath edging has marble pipe for a soft safer edge. Above vanity mirror cabinet recessed into the wall to create illusion of large mirror.
The unusually shaped room was balanced by adding a second window closer to the bed. A large corner bulk head was painted as well as extended around the room to become a feature. Specific lighting create an ambient room.

Conina Productions use this concept a great deal. It is perfect for the spare room, as well as for studio or small apartments. The bed closes up into the wall which when closed looks like a wall unit. It is then taken down for usage. This allows the room to be used for other purposes as well as a guest room and the bed provides a decent mattress for a good night rest for guests.

The teenagers room had to provide a study area, light and storage. The rooms lifespan would be short and would soon become a study only. The design took in all the components and resulted with the following:
